Before I start blurting out the ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 specs, here is the price of the device in various countries:
ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 Price in Nepal: NPR 60,000 (8/128GB)
ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 Price in India: INR 35,999 (8/128GB)
ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3 Price in Pakistan: PKR 87,000 (8/128GB)
The Nubia Red Magic 3 is the first gaming phone in Nepal. And the smartphone is available for purchase exclusively from Daraz. Since it’s a gaming phone, you might expect powerful hardware on the inside. And that turns out true in the case of Red Magic 3. The phone flaunts the flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset with 8GB or 12GB of RAM at its disposal. As for the memory, you get either 64GB, 128GB of 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. With such a capable hardware on the inside, we found the device to be really fluid on our Nubia Red Magic 3 gaming review. Because of the capable components on the inside, I was delighted with the Nubia Red Magic 3 PUBG gameplay.
Since most of the gaming phones tend to heat while playing games for a long time, we also decided to do Nubia Red Magic 3 heat test. And on that test, we found the device getting slightly warmer during the prolonged gaming sessions. But the Nubia Red Magic 3 fan on the inside helps to cool things off. And unlike other smartphones, which have heat pipes for cooling, this one uses a physical fan.
As for the display, you get a 6.65-inch Super AMOLED panel here with Full-HD+ resolution. Nubia Red Magic 3 display has a refresh rate of 90Hz just like on the OnePlus 7 Pro. With 90Hz panel, the screen looks fluids and transition looks smooth. Although the ASUS ROG Phone 2 comes with a 120Hz display, we do not find any noticeable difference while doing the Nubia Red Magic 3 Vs Asus ROG Phone 2 display comparison. However, Nubia Red Magic 3 90Hz display doesn’t look so compelling when it comes to brightness. The phone is not legible enough to use it outdoors. So there is that!
Talking about the camera, the phone houses a single 48MP shooter on the back. So if you are into smartphone photography, Nubia Red Magic 3 camera may not please you much. Nonetheless, we found the camera to be pretty decent on our Nubia Red Magic 3 camera review. Images have sufficient details in them and also has an impressive dynamic range. Although the single rear cam is impressive, wide-angle, telephoto, and depth-sensing camera will be felt on long usage. On the videography front, you get average videos. As the phone lacks EIS and OIS, videos are shaky most of the times. But unlike other smartphones, which can record videos at 4k at maximum, this phone can record up to 8K. However, Nubia Red Magic 3 8K recording are saved only at 15fps. So they are barely usable anywhere.
As for the battery, you get a 5000mAh unit on this device. With such a big battery, we had expected the Nubia Red Magic 3 battery life to be amazing. But because of powerful hardware on the inside and because of the in-built fan, it did not quite meet our expectation. But it was still impressive though. It lasted for more than 1.5 days on the normal use.
