If the time’s come for mattress shopping, you’ll quickly learn there’s certainly no lack in options. Since the bed-in-a-box industry has popped up, we’ve seen an incredible influx in new brands and models being introduced.

While options are certainly good to have and tips the scales in your favor in many ways, one of the setbacks is that, with so many newer companies out there, a fewer percentage of the market caters toward smaller demographics. If you carry less weight than the average person and/or are a stomach sleeper, there are a lot of ways in which Simmons has you in mind.

In the mattress industry for well over a century, Simmons has had plenty of time to come up with an array of innovations, and today we’re looking at the Beautyrest Silver Lydia Manor III plush mattress.

Convenient Delivery
A bed-in-a-box is certainly a convenience over shopping retail. However, when you order this product, you get the added luxury of in-home white glove delivery at no additional charge. This covers up to two flights of stairs, and they will even remove and dispose of all the trash and your old mattress.

If you’re someone who is very much repelled by off gassing, I think you’ll further appreciate this delivery method. The mattress arrives unboxed and uncompressed. It’s wrapped in plastic but uncompressed and not vacuum sealed. This allows much of the VOCs from the factory to disperse by the time the mattress is set up in your room.

Good Breathability for a Plush Product
If you sleep hot, you know how difficult it can be to get in a good night’s rest. In plusher products where there is a higher degree of sinkage and engagement, heat buildup is a real concern. During the course of this review, we put breathability to the test as we examined the cooldown process with a thermal imaging camera. The results were impressive.

There are multiple ways in which Simmons keeps the Beautyrest Silver Lydia Manor plush mattress cool:

Vented edge support system
Open cell structure of the AirFeel Foam
Construction of the GelTouch Foam and AirCool Memory Foam
Naturally-breathable coil unit

Side Sleepers- Pay Close Attention
If you’re a side sleeper, this product was designed with your preferred sleep position in mind. Simmons understands how the heaviness in our hips and shoulders can restrict blood flow and lead to painful pressure points. I found this product to allow for enough natural contour with the sleep surface to keep you comfortable without excessive sinkage.

People who don’t weigh much can also benefit from the increased contour they receive, especially with back sleeping. It can be difficult to achieve adequate contour in the lumbar area, and a plusher sleep surface can often do the trick.

Sound like the Lydia Manor III plush mattress could work for you? Stick around as we go through all this and a whole lot more including:

Mattress layer construction
Edge support
And much more!
