This is a compilation of five laptops I have selected as budget options for graphic designers. Disclaimer: these are NOT my absolute top favorite most fantastic picks, just so you know.  These are laptops that I think are well enough equipped to handle the ins and outs of graphic design, but are not my top rated machines. “Then why would I recommend them”, you may ask. Well, because not everyone has the budget to get the best of the best, so I wanted to give a guide to those people on a budget but still ready to jump into graphic design.

  1. Hi Ben, really liked your video. I have a budget of 1100 euros. Could you recommend laptops in Dell, Asus and lenovo that best suits for Graphic designers. Laptops that don't slow down or crash while multitasking between illustrator and Photoshop.

  2. Thank you so much for this! My Dell is on it's last legs, and as a design student whose not a fan of mac, the specs listed, were very helpful! Decided to start saving up for a microsoft surface pro 6!

  3. Just a tip. I know there's less than a 1% chance you're reading this but DO NOT MAKE YOUR INTRO TOO LONG. viewers gets bored fast so its best to start up straight forward…

  4. Hello, I’m taking my first semester for web design and I am so lost as to what laptop I should get. I did see an ASUS 2in1laptop intel i7 16gb 1tb ssd, would that cover my needs since I’m a beginner?

  5. Those who don't like long intro you are welcome to skip.
But for me don't really mind cuz he give useful intro info what i need to know.
RAM important cuz i when i was student, i had used software 3D Max. This program will still running even thought i already close the program. It's also happen when i open Photoshop and doing editing for work, turn out it my laptop become more lagging. I was very frustrated, i need to finish my design on time. My laptop hold RAM 4G that time. My budget tight, i didn't realized about things need to reconsider before i buy laptop. So this time, i need to buy laptop that can performance very well for doing design.
    Thank you for ur tips.

  6. I am looking for a laptop that I can draw on with a stylus. I really like drawing on a device directly. I was thinking the Microsoft surface Go? Thoughts? It’s affordable for me as a college student but I still want to know if I can get something better in the same price range.

  7. I've been looking into getting a laptop with a budget of $900(including tax) , so do you reccommend any that excell in the art and animation category, with this budget?

  8. Hi ben nice video I'm a high schooler and cannot spend more than 600 dollars help me out with what laptop I should buy. FYI I use a wacom tablet. 🙃

  9. Hey Ben ! What about the display screen accuracy of these choices ? I had a computer with a really bad screen for photo editing, so I really want to make sure these computers will be accurate about that. I do photo editing and I also record music and sometimes video editing ( but video is not my priority ) .
Also, what about the crackling sound problem of the XPS 15 ?
    I would like a laptop ( PC )
    – 16GB RAM
    – 256 SSD minimum
    – 15 inch or 17
    – dont need the touch display, but the 4k would be a great bonus
Do you have any suggestions for me under my 1300$ budget ( canada )
Thanks a lot for you videos !

  10. Heeey do you think Lenovo Yoga 530 Intel i5 8250U/256GB SSD/16GB RAM would be good for graphic design? It's around 1200$ in my country. Also if you could recommend anything else around that budget that would also be suuuuper helpful. I've been looking at laptops for a month 😢

  11. Hi Ben. I am a student going into high school so I cant spend over $1000 for a laptop. I have got a Huion GT-191 drawing tablet. I dont need to make video editing but I plan on making comics and I need a laptop that can work well with my drawing tablet that is under $1000. If I am just making comics is it a big deal if I dont get 16g RAM laptop? I am leaning towards the HP Zbook as it is the cheapest. I can afford the 16g RAM but if im just doing comics will 8G RAM work fine? What other laptops do you recommend? Thanks for this video.
